Religious leaders and human behavior researchers both agree that one of the keys to happiness is cultivating a sense of forgiveness and learning to let things go.
It doesn't make sense to hold a grudge. It does damage to the one holding the grudge, and probably doesn't actually hurt anyone else, especially if they don't care about what is going on in any one elses mind. And why should you? What actual good is done by holding a grudge?
